Owner-led general contractor capability statement
Kellets brings owner-level leadership to renovation, restoration, waterproofing, building-envelope and electrification work across New York City and Westchester. Clients know who is responsible, how decisions are documented and where the project stands.

The leadership behind the work
“A contractor should not disappear behind layers of handoffs. I built Kellets so clients can reach the person accountable for the outcome.”
Aubrey Phillibert
Before founding Kellets, Aubrey advanced from property manager to managing director and vice president, leading complex New York properties, multidisciplinary teams and multimillion-dollar capital improvements. That operating background shapes how Kellets plans work in occupied buildings, communicates with stakeholders and protects the full project—not only the individual trade task.
Aubrey graduated summa cum laude from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and completed Duke University’s AEA Summer Program as an NSF Scholar. His construction and technical credentials include the Pace University Construction Management Certificate Program, EPA Section 608 Universal Technician certification, OSHA 30-hour Construction Outreach course completion and NYC DOB 8-hour Fall Prevention course completion.
Kellets is named for his mother’s hometown of Kellets, Clarendon, Jamaica. The company carries that heritage into a practical standard: take responsibility, respect the building, document the work and leave the client with something durable.
Core competencies
Kellets is strongest where structure, water management, occupied interiors, building systems and finish restoration must be planned as one project.
Why Kellets
Aubrey remains visible in qualification, planning and executive project communication. Clients are not handed to an anonymous system after award.
Property-management and capital-project experience informs decisions about occupants, operations, access, risk, documentation and long-term performance.
Water, structure, envelope, mechanical systems and finishes are evaluated as interacting conditions—not disconnected line items.
Real Kellets projects, field photos and videos show how work is sequenced, protected and completed in New York conditions.
Registrations, program participation, licenses and trade requirements are stated precisely and verified before they are used in public or bid materials.
MBE status, PASSPort registration, codes, certificates and opportunity requirements are organized for agencies, primes, owners and project teams.

Owner-controlled project delivery
Aubrey’s operating background is translated into visible project controls. The goal is not more paperwork; it is fewer surprises, faster decisions and a record the owner can rely on.

How Kellets can participate
The right role depends on scope, contract structure, schedule, capacity and solicitation requirements. Kellets qualifies the opportunity first, then defines a responsible delivery position.
Owner-led responsibility for a defined construction or renovation scope, with required trade partners, documentation and project controls organized around the contract.
Best fit: defined project scope
Targeted participation within a larger program or prime contract, including renovation, occupied-space, envelope, waterproofing and coordinated general-construction work packages.
Best fit: clear trade package
Early teaming for opportunities where an accountable NYC-certified MBE can help shape scope, local delivery, documentation and participation strategy without overstating qualifications.
Best fit: early collaboration
Role selection remains subject to the specific solicitation, licensing, insurance, bonding, experience, capacity, trade and safety requirements.
